Job Description

C Cross Logistics was founded in 2016 as a brokerage extension of an asset-based flatbed trucking company. Our goal at inception was to service lanes outside of the southeastern United States that our parent company did not have capacity for.

Over the past nine years, C Cross has grown into much more than that. In 2020 we branched out and became a full-service 3PL with over fifty employees and agents scattered throughout the country.

We opened the Tuscaloosa office in January 2021 for two reasons.

1. To accelerate organic company growth by hiring and training top talent in the area and helping them grow to become the best logistics professionals in our industry.
2. To create the best place to work in Tuscaloosa with top pay and an unmatched culture.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve freight orders from existing customers and input into our system, ensuring all information is entered accurately and up to date.
• Build relationships with customers to the point that they know they can turn to C Cross to service all their transportation needs.
• Schedule pick up and delivery appointments as needed with shippers and consignees.
• Book and track shipments through our system using internal and external trucking companies.
• Negotiate pricing with customers and carriers.
• Collaborate with sales team and operational peers to solve supply chain issues our customers may be facing.
• Work with your team to keep the country moving!

What we are looking for

• Any or all, preferred but not required: Bachelor’s degree, sales experience, logistics experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• High energy - Logistics is a fast-paced, ever-changing industry. No two days are the same, which makes this industry unique, challenging, and FUN.
• A competitive and driven mindset that wants to be part of a growing company.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
