Ziggy’s Tree is a non-profit wildlife rehabilitation organization that provides care to orphaned, injured or displaced native Tennessee wildlife with the goal of returning them to their natural habitats. We also provide information to the public to help them live more harmoniously with their wild neighbors and to determine when and if intervention by a wildlife rehabilitator is necessary. We specialize in the care of the youngest and most fragile songbirds and small mammals. Learn more at www.ziggystree.org.
The Board of Directors governs the overall execution of the organization’s mission. Board members will contribute their expertise to management, fundraising, marketing, legal and strategic planning to help Ziggy’s Tree realize their goal of a centralized facility. Board member terms are for one year with the option to continue to serve additional terms. We are a working board. Two of our current board members are also our state and federally permitted wildlife rehabilitators.
Board members hold a fiduciary responsibility for the management of the organization and to assure appropriate filings with federal, state and local authorities. Board members must contribute financially to the organization, either through direct monetary or in-kind donations or through fundraising activities.
Board members will assist with financial oversight, strategic planning, fundraising, marketing/social media, and/or website design based on the individual’s area of expertise.
